Here I am on Substack! Hope you stick with me.

I used to send Anne Marie’s Short ‘n’ Sweet newsletters monthly, then it was quarterly, and now barely seasonally through MailChimp. I finally decided that MailChimp just wasn’t for me; at least my argument is that the clunkiness of that platform served as a disincentive for me to get my newlestter out more often. Substack looks more inviting. So here I am having a go at it.

I just celebrated my birthday and felt this was the perfect time to make a change and to reach out to you in a new way. Still via email, though.

I spend a lot of time these days in the comfort and safety of a small recording booth I think of as my Little Corner of the world. Most of us, I imagine, have carved out our own Little Corners, whether physical or imagined, where we feel safe and buoyed and loved and appreciated. I invite you to join me (via Substack) in my Little Corner, thus the name Anne Marie’s Little Corner. Though this space will mostly be for all things audiobook-related, I will definitely share other things in my life because I’m not just an audiobook narrator.

Everyone who subscribes will get my almost-monthly updates. “But what is with this paid subscription business?” you ask. Good question! A paid subscription will give you a look at excerpts from my current WIP - I’m actually trying to take the mess I wrote during NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) 2022 and make it into a comprehensive novel so this alone could be very entertaining, the opportunity to get free audiobook codes, bloopers from current recording projects, and other specially recorded projects.
